Renesas Unveils DA14533 A Revolution in Automotive Bluetooth Connectivity

Renesas Electronics has introduced its latest innovation, the DA14533—a groundbreaking automotive-grade Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) System-on-Chip (SoC) designed to enhance wireless connectivity for automotive and industrial applications. This state-of-the-art chip is perfect for a variety of uses, including tire pressure monitoring, keyless entry systems, wireless sensors, and battery management solutions.

What sets the DA14533 apart is its ultra-low power consumption, powered by an integrated DC-DC buck converter. It operates efficiently with just 3.1mA during transmission, 2.5mA during reception, and an astonishing 500nA in hibernation mode. This makes it ideal for devices running on small-capacity batteries. With its compact size of 3.5 x 3.5 mm, the DA14533 enables seamless integration in space-constrained environments, while also helping to reduce system costs.

Built to withstand extreme conditions, the DA14533 is AEC-Q100 Grade 2 certified, ensuring reliability in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C. It supports Bluetooth Core 5.3, offering advanced security and enabling fast, secure, and reliable communication for next-generation systems.

Renesas further empowers developers with its Bluetooth Low Energy SoC Development Kit Pro, which provides a comprehensive toolkit—including a motherboard and daughterboard—to streamline the development process.

Renesas’ DA14533 represents a bold step forward in connectivity technology. Combining exceptional efficiency, compact design, and robust performance, this SoC is poised to set a new benchmark in automotive and industrial wireless communication.
